I’m talking neck scarves, head accessories, and bow-ties. All fun pieces to add to your spring collection that can add POP or Flare to your spring wardrobe. There are obviously other essentials to have, but today I’m focusing on these three.
Bow Ties
I love the bow-tie look, and it’s not specific to Spring Fashion but after a cold winter of sweaters, peat coats, and thick scarves its a nice change to your neck game! I love to pair it with my work attire as well as with a girly skirt (Minnie Mouse all grown up) to create a fun look.
This simple black and white outfit for work needed a POP of color to match the existing season. I paired it with this multi-color bow tie and added some neutral accessories to balance it out. I also finished the look with some red and nude shoes I had in the closet.
Flower Bands
Like headbands, but with flowers! So I like to call them flower bands, I don’t know what the technical fashion terminology is for them but I love them! It always adds a boho-chic type of look whenever I pair it with anything. I really like to wear my sunflower flower band when I’m going for a complete boho feel.
If you’re looking for less hippie and more girly then I recommend going for a metal flower headband with roses instead of sunflowers. I purchased mine at Icing a while back and have one in pink and white! I’ve also seen them at Target, Forever 21, H & M, and many online stores like Amazon (*praises the Gods for Amazon).
I usually pair the metal ones with a girly dress especially on those beautiful California days the whole vibe is awesome. I’ve also worn them in the past with jeans and a cute top to add some flare.
Scarves
Who says that scarves are only for winter? I look forward to wearing my lightweight scarves in the spring. I love this scarf that I found at Forever 21 because its lightweight and the sequins add that POP to my outfit that I needed- also no the sequins are not itchy (SCORE!). If you’re looking for something less casual and more formal check out some silky scarves, Nordstrom’s has a great collection.
I’m also pretty obsessed with bandana or square scarves! I feel like they add so much elegance or edge (depends on the kind you’re wearing) to your outfit. I personally think the bandana prints add an “edge” to your look while the silk(y) scarves add elegance.
I have a few of wannabe silk scarves (also found on Amazon) that I pair quite often with my spring/summer looks. I wore the one pictured above with my jumpsuit because I thought it made me look slightly more sophisticated for work than without.
I’ve linked some fun bow-ties, flower bands, and scarves for your convenience. Happy Shopping!
