Located in both San Francisco and Palo Alto, Biondivino, provides you with a one-of-a-kind wine pairing experience! Yes, wine pairing! Our private tasting included 5 different wines along with 5 cheeses they paired with. The staff at Biondivino have so much knowledge about not only their wines but Italian wine and vineyards, both current and historic. The founder of the winery has ties to Italy which inspired Biondivino and the reason they specialize and serve only Italian wines. There are portraits of several members of her family inside the tasting room.
Our tasting was with Trevor who was such a fun host! He had so much background knowledge of the wineries that all the wines came from. We purchased a bottle that comes from a vineyard in Italy where this is the last vine of this strain…thought that was pretty awesome! P.S. Needless to say the cheese choices were absolutely AMAZING! They paired great with the wine options and it really gave me some insight for when I have wine and cheese at home! We found out that they actually source all their cheese from a nearby cheese shop just a couple blocks away…I recommend checking them out if you have some time and are in the Russian Hill Neighborhood.
